Sometimes when you see a dog that catches your eye, for whatever reason, a characteristic of some sort, you will look to the owner and often see similarities between the two creatures. This is only true to a degree of course. Perhaps its just human nature to see connections between two objects. But isn't there a reason that individual was picked out the dog at the pet shop in the first place? We are attracted to dogs because they exhibit similar features that we have ourselves.

These are sketches for more ideas Ive had about this topic. Perhaps Ill turn them into painted portraits. I was thinking game cards--like "Go Fish", but matching dog and owner. That could be fun. This is an idea I've played with before, its not really all that thought provoking. I just like drawing people...and dogs. More to come from this in the future.
